How do I become a member?

Becoming a member begins with an online application. You'll then complete a Range Orientation/Tour. New applicants should plan to present themselves to the Board of Directors at a monthly meeting. An active National Rifle Association (NRA) membership is required.

What is the "Work Bond"?

The Work Bond is an annual amount paid or earned through Workday Credits. As of January 2019, the Work Bond was $150 annually, with a $75 credit per 8-hour workday, limited to $150 per year.

How can I fulfill the Work Bond?

  • Workday Credits can be earned by:
  • Performing gatekeeper duty on weekends during the public season.
  • Working at the range with designated work parties.
  • Working at a club-sponsored event.
  • Serving as a Match Director or assisting Match Directors with special duties.
  • Working on an approved project for the club at home or around town.
  • Serving on the Board of Directors.
  • Proposing other options for consideration by the Board.

Safety at Camp Fickes

Safety is paramount at BCGC. We enforce stringent rules to ensure a secure environment for all.

Prohibited Ammunition/Firearms:

Tracer, incendiary, steel-core bullets, exploding targets, shotgun shells (except slugs and 00 buck), and .50 BMG ammunition are strictly prohibited. Full-auto firearms are prohibited except for special Board-approved events.

Fire Weather

Closures: Due to fire risk, the range will be closed on any "Red Flag" fire weather days. Always check the National Weather Service for fire weather zone 216 before your visit. Fire Weather Zone 216 Forecast  Red Flag Warning Alerts

Emergency Communications:

While cell service is limited, the range has a Starlink system for communication, with planned enhancements for continuous service.

Release of Liability (ROL):

All users must complete and have a Release of Liability (ROL) waiver on file for the current year. Members are responsible for ensuring their guests also have an ROL on file.
